Fed: Fiji troops out of Solomons mission: PM

JOHN HOWARD says Australia will freeze Fiji out of the military rescue mission in the
Solomon Islands .. to demonstrate its displeasure at the military coup.

The Prime Minister says it's important the Fijian military doesn't get off scot-free.

Military commander FRANK BAINIMARAMA took over Fiji earlier this month .. the country's
fourth coup in 20 years .. drawing swift international condemnation.







The Australian reported today the federal government would suspend all funding next
Monday .. for Fiji's military involvement in the Regional Assistance Mission to the unstable
Solomon Islands.
